Bloody Point Golf Club - Reviews

"Another difficult part of the course is the bunkering. There are some real big greenside bunkers out there, and when you couple that with the large greens and tucked pin positions, you'll get some lengthy bunker shots. Since most of us don't practice those types of shots very much, it makes it harder to get the ball up and down when you're in one.” Wrapping up, my first impressions of Bloody Point, based mostly on foolish ‘what's in a name' prejudices turned out very wrong. Bloody Point's a beautiful, peaceful, parkland layout—and contrary to its name, is very playable and enjoyable. So next time you're deterred by some irrational first impressions, think about turning yourself around—you'll be right more often than not.

With interesting design characteristics throughout the course, this oceanfront golf course near the Atlantic Ocean offers an unforgettable day of golf. A winding green serves both the 12th and 14th holes while the 18th green with a menacing bunker sitting in the middle of it offers a unique challenge. With water coming into play on 13 of the 18 holes and breathtaking views of the intercoastal waterway from the 10th, 16th, 17th and 18th, Bloody Point is a golfer's dream. As Fodor's Golf Digest "Places to Play" said, "It's almost like playing your own private golf course".

We played here as part of our golf school. Of the three days of school, this was the last day. Course was in really nice condition. Quite a few alligators and other wildlife. Very quiet on this course. The 18th tee area overlooks the water. Must take a ferry to get to the island.

Don't let the name fool you: this 18-hole golf course at par-72 has a playable layout and perfect for golfers of any level.
